Dear Sir,
This is Mohammad Arif Mujaddedi from Afghanistan. Recently my wife was complaining from tireness and body aches. We referred to a physician and did some blood testing examination. The results are below:
1. Cholesterol 191.00
2. Triglycerides 86.00
3. HDL 42.00
4. LDL 131.00
The physician said that her cholesterol is below the 200 normal range and she doesn't need to be on any sort of diet. Considering her age which is 19 years, I am still worried whether 191.00 is still considered normal or not? Should she take some diet steps to reduce is or not? FYI she is not fat at all.

191.00 is still considered normal as long as it is below 200. Altohough some new guidelines consider cholesterol levels of no more than 180 to be optimal. To get her numbers lower she should stick to a healthy diet with supplements and exercise daily.

A healthy diet includes foods from all of the different food groups carbohydrates (cereals, wholegrain bread, potato, rice, pasta), proteins (for example, from lean meat, such as chicken and oily fish, like mackerel or sardines), and fats (varieties that unsaturated, such as low fat mono- or poly-unsaturated spreads, and vegetable or sunflower oil).
